Priory Predators achieved their first success in the ETTA National Cadet competition during their second visit to the Halifax Table Tennis Centre on December 16th. The encouraging win in the prestigious event came at the expense of Helemsley "B" with Robert Swift gaining two singles and team mates Chris Coe and Jayash Patel contributing one each to claim a 4-2 result. Throughout the day, the Predators played a total of 5 matches against Abbeydale(1-5) and 0-6 defeats against the more experienced Oakbank Boys, Scorpions "A" and Bramley. Interestingly, each match is played over 6 sets of 5 games with each game played to 11 points providing players with a full day of competitive play against a variety of opponents in a professional, entertaining and well organised atmosphere.
